Fellowship «Wissenschaftliche Politikstipendien»
Every autumn, the foundation «Stiftung Wissenschaftlicher Politikstipendien» advertises for scientific scholarships in politics.
These scholarships allow young academics to gain a profound insight into political processes, into the culture of political discussion and decision-making, thereby enjoying learning and gaining experience in a unique environment.
The scholars work for the Parliament at the Federal Palace. They support parliamentary commissions, participate in commission meetings and work out background information, commission reports as well as other documents. They are in contact with representatives of administration and with scientific experts. Having the possibility to meet people on the boundary between politics, administration and science, the scholars can build up a network which will not only be useful for working with different cultures but also for the scholar’s future professional career. Scientific direction of the scholarships: natural sciences (e.g. biological/biomedical) or socio-economic sciences (e.g. finalised studies either in politics, economy, sociology or in law).
